Hey Fourm, I have good news that I figured I'd smear around. Today is the drop date for Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Edition Go HereThis means is that you can get New Vegas with all the DLC and add-ons right from the box. Yay Bethesda. I bought it, and I figured you guys might be interested. Fallout 3 is still one of my favorite games. Hopefully New Vegas will just be more of the good old Wasteland fun. Anybody else interested or already have it?

Of course that doesn't mean that there won't be patches for the game in the future but those are free. Bethesda is usually pretty cool like that.

I don't think anyone ever charges for patches seeing as how they are fixes for broken bits of game they should have fixed before launch. I have NV on PS3 and it is horribly broken. I had some good fun with it for a bit, but once I got bored of exploring I just stopped playing it. THe story really didn't catch enough of my interest for me to pursue it :C

I still think FO3 had at least a decent incentive to get interested. You were searching for your father and he was Liam Neeson! NV was pretty much the "You got shot in the head! Go find the guy who did it!"
Why?
So he can shoot me in the head again? Fuck that, I'm gonna start a gaint ant farm!

Yeah, I'd have to agree with you there Nuff. Fallout NV was a little cheap in the story department. That being said I always get sucked into Bethesda games. There is just something about the massive open worlds that lead me in. Had to force myself to quit both Skyrim and Fallout 3 when they started negatively affecting my personal life.

I can get sucked in for a bit but ultimately I like my games to lead me a bit. I like a really tight well thought out story like I'm playing a movie or awesome mini series.

If we are on the subject of Shooters, anybody else excited for GTA V? I still hold that San Andreas had one of the best story plot-lines of any game ever. For some reason Rockstar is able to create games that are able to suck me in like no other.
Not to mention the Trailer for GTA V looked awesome.

The talk is going a bit off topic here now.
But if I have something to say, it's been nice watching Demus play Fallout NV, it's not that bad, and I bought him the DLC's too. I'm not the person to play single player games myself, but I like watching other people play them if the games are good :3
And I honestly like the more colourful look for a post-apocalyptic world too, all those creative things they put there and stuff.
And wasn't NV made by Obsidian?

Its proof that post apocalyptic world don't always have to be grey and brown, they can be fun and lively too ^^ And wasn't NV made by Obsidian? Indeed, Bethesda published it but obsidian were the devs behind it.

Twas a shame it was a heavily rushed game they squeeze out durring the build up to christmas. Has too much of a Fallout 3 reskin about it. Least the addition of iron sights made it at least look like a proper shooter, just it suffers from the same thing a lot of shooter suffer from... the guns feeling a bit meh. They lack that feeling of an awesome kick to them for me, at least most of them do. Pistols sound and feel like they are cap guns

Well the developers had to redesign the gun's sound effects for a more open area environment. But the story improved with all the dlc, you get to find out the events that led up to you getting shot in the head. The dlc gives the play some insight into the courier's past, which has been erased by Benny's double tap. But I agree with Neko, it is nice to see that the earth is on its way to recovery with all the wild plants and new animals. Still hate those damn deathclaws, the first time I played Fallout 3, one spawned just as I left the vault to head towards megaton. Worst thing to happen to me, ever in a video game. I don't like having to buy DLC to unveil Key story elements which should've been in the main game
